The volleyball team didn’t slow down last Saturday with a 3-1 set win over Sacred Heart Cathedral, who had beaten them very early on in the season. It was their second season in a row in CCS Open Division 2, and they never lost control of the game. They won the 3 sets with scores of 25-16, 25-23, and 25-16 respectively. The Knights’ overall record is now 29-4.
Senior Kristin Sellers and Juniors Selina Xu and Sianna Houghton all had huge games, and were major contributors in the win. Houghton finished with 15 kills and 13 digs. Xu had 22 assists and Sellers had a double-double with 23 assists and 10 digs.
The 5th seeded Knights will look to continue their dominance against top ranked Archbishop Mitty tonight. The game will be played at Palo Alto High School at 7:30pm. The Monarchs took down the Knights in their first matchup, ending 2-1 in sets.
