The Menlo Knights girls basketball team defeated Oakland on Saturday at Pittsburg High. They won on game winning basket by senior Ally Stuart.
The game was close throughout the entire game. The teams were tied at halftime. Oakland took the lead and lead by one after the end of the third quarter.
The Knights racked up 12 points in the last minute to top the Wildcats. Standout freshman Avery Lee led the Knights in scoring with 15 points. Stuart earned player of the game honors.
The Knights have improved to 9-1 and look to continue their win streak through game play. Their next game is against Sacred Heart Prep on Tuesday.
