Over the summer the ever so popular dance room got a serious upgrade. With installation of the Arts center, dance was able to expand their room into what was previously the orchestra room, which doubling the studio in size. It is the only arts class that did not move into the arts center due to certain controversies on whether it qualified as an art.
Dance teacher Jan Chandler expressed her excitement that her room is “twice the size[ and how it creates] a great rehearsal space for the Concert, plays, and the Benefit” said Chandler. Chandler added that the space will enable the dance students to practice their combinations, turns, and leaps more effectively in the new space. With a bigger space to rehearse in, the dance classes will hopefully be able to enhance their performances and continue to give spectacular shows in the coming year.
