Need a new sandwhich place? Here is a great option that is pretty close to campus and great for a quick turn around

If you’re looking for a quick, delicious place to grab a bite for lunch on any day of the week, Plantation Deli Cafe is the place for you. Despite being well-known for their carefully crafted sandwiches, this deli also serves a variety of salads, soups, and espresso drinks. The inviting indoor and outdoor seating create a nice environment for eating good food, catching up with friends, or just staying relaxed.

Located on 3565 Alameda de las Pulgas in Menlo Park, Plantation Deli is super close to school and their quick service make it a great option for an off-campus lunch with friends. The prices range from about $7 to $10 for sandwiches, soups, and salads, while the espresso drinks are around $4 each.

Now I am usually a very adventurous eater, but I always get the same thing when I go to Plantation Deli because it is just my absolute favorite (pictured above). I order the turkey-cranberry sandwich, which is adorned with roasted turkey, cranberry sauce, cream cheese, and fresh sprouts. I highly recommend ordering whatever sandwich you like on their Dutch Crunch bread, because it is always fresh, crunchy, and taste-bud pleasing. I have also had the chicken salad sandwich with pesto which is also out of this world!

Although Plantation Deli is not the nicest, most up-scale restaurant in town, it sure does serve some of the best basic lunch food I’ve had in this area. Plantation deli lies hidden in a corner on the Alameda, so it often goes unnoticed, but go there once, and you will for sure become a regular!
