Philz Coffee:
Located in both Redwood City and downtown Palo Alto, Philz Coffee is for the die-hard coffee fans. The menu consists of a variety of coffee blends. Whether you’re feeling like a coffee that has notes of chocolate and caramel or an earthy, spicy taste, you are likely to find a blend that you’ll like. One thing to note is that Philz is not your typical coffee house… it does not make lattes or cappuccinos. However, the baristas at Philz will go out of their way to make sure that your drink is just the way you like it! With its laid back atmosphere and friendly ambience, Philz Coffee is the perfect place to study, chillax, or grab a cup of coffee with a friend.

Blue Bottle Coffee:
Situated on University Avenue in Palo Alto, Blue Bottle Coffee is a trendy cafe chain. Blue Bottle offers a variety of options, from cappuccinos to their famous New Orleans style iced coffee. The cafe also offers a limited, but delicious and healthy food menu, and has a lovely outdoor patio, so it’s the perfect spot to get your caffeine fix and a quick bite to eat!

Sightglass:

Located throughout San Francisco, Sightglass is definitely worth the tip. The cafe offers a variety drinks, such as espressos and lattes, and also has an affogato bar, which offers scoops of ice-cream drowned in their famous espresso. Sightglass also sells numerous types of homemade, delicious pastries, so sweet-tooths are guaranteed to get their sugar fix. From the huge open layout to the beautifully designed interior to the delicious coffee, Sightglass is a good spot to study, hang out with friends or people watch!

Coupa Cafe:

Coupa Cafe is a small, cozy, Venezuelan “restaurant” that has multiple locations in Stanford and Palo Alto. Coupa makes all of its coffee from Arabica Coffee Company’s beans, which is the cafe’s own roasting company. Coupa offers a variety of espresso drinks, such as macchiatos and Venezuelan lattes, and speciality drinks, such as cold brews and vanilla frappes. Coupa is also well-known for its beautiful coffee art. The cafe serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert, so it’s a good spot for any time of the day!
