We all love pretzels and cookies, so why not have them together? Here’s a recipe that combines two of your favorite things!

by Maudie Frye and Kaitlin Baldwin

Ingredients:
½ cup unsalted butter
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup sugar
2 Tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
1¼ cup all-purpose flour
⅛ tsp salt
½ cup mini chocolate chips
50 to 60 pretzels
8 oz chocolate chips (about 1 cup)
1 tsp coconut oil or shortening (for thinning the chocolate)

Instructions:
1. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and put aside

2. Mix the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar together with a mixer on medium speed. Mix until light and creamy. Add milk and vanilla then mix. Once blended, gradually add the flour and salt and mix until fully combined. Finally, mix in the mini chocolate chips.

3. Roll the dough into 2 teaspoon balls then place each dough ball in between two pretzels. Once sandwiched, place in the freezer for about 20 minutes.

4. While the bites are still in the freezer, melt chocolate and coconut oil or shortening. Once melted, dip the cooled bites halfway into the melted chocolate. After letting the bites sit in the freezer for 15 – 20 minutes, the bites are ready to eat. Enjoy!
