Dutch Oven-Crusty Bread

Dutch+Oven-Crusty+Bread

Bread is a staple. We eat it for breakfast. We eat it for lunch. And we eat it for dinner. From jam to peanut butter to butter to olive oil, bread can be topped with anything. Here is a four-ingredient bread recipe to spice up your weekly routine. Photo courtesy of Maudie Frye.

Ingredients:
3 cups flour
2 teaspoons salt
0.5 teaspoon yeast
1.5 cups room temperature water

Steps:
1. Put flour, salt, and yeast into a large bowl. Mix thoroughly.
2. Add water to mixture and mix until the dough becomes gum-like.
3. Ball the dough and put it into a large bowl.
4. Cover the bowl with saran wrap and let the dough rest for at least 12 hours.
5. After 12 hours have passed, preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
6. Generously lather your hands in flour and put flour on the surface of the countertop. Cover the ball of dough with flour to prevent it from sticking to your baking pan.
7. Put the dough ball into a baking pan and insert the pan into the oven.
8. Bake for 30 minutes with a baking lid, then remove the lid and continue to bake for 15 minutes.
