On Tuesday Sept. 5th, Menlo extended their four game win streak against Aragon HS in another 3-0 sweep.
Similarly to last Thursday’s victory over Menlo-Atherton, the first set ended in a tense 26-24 score. The Knights found their stride in the next two sets, however, as both were more lopsided in favor of the Knights (25-15, 25-17).
A couple outstanding players this match were senior Ashley Dreyer and junior Grace King, combining for 25 of the team’s 43 total kills.
Menlo has won every game versus Aragon in the past two seasons but this year was a lot tougher, “They were a lot better than we expected,” senior Caroline Bradley said. They were better than M-A. But we found our footing after a shaky first set.”
A solid game overall, this win prepares the team for Thursday’s critical away game against Palo Alto and the upcoming Chandler Invitational tournament being held at Menlo this weekend.
