As the Menlo Knight’s fall sports regulars seasons are coming to a wrap, we look ahead to their postseason.
Cross country is heading into Central Coast Section playoffs. The Knights’ boys team finished in fifth place and the girls finished first in the Western Bay Athletic League on Friday. Their next meet is the Central Coast Section Division IV Championships on Saturday, November 11.
Girls Golf finished seventh overall in the CCS Championships with senior Sophie Siminoff finishing in fourth place and sophomore Gianna Inguagiato finishing in twelfth place.
Girls Tennis is heading into the CCS championship after winning another league title. They will face off against either Carlmont or Monterey on Tuesday November 7.
Girls Volleyball has gotten off to a hot start in CCS Open Division with a 3-1 win over Sacred Heart Cathedral this past Saturday in San Francisco. They are looking to keep rolling in their game versus number one seeded Archbishop Mitty on Tuesday.
Boys water polo defeated Menlo-Atherton 5-4 last week on a buzzer beating goal for the league title. Their next game is in the CCS Open Division where they will play Bellarmine on Wednesday.
The Football team is still waiting for find out where they are seeded for CCS. They play Sequoia on Thursday for the outright league title, after clinching two weeks ago. The outcome of that game will determine their seeding.
