The Knights defeated the Woodside Priory in stunning fashion on the pitch; taking home a 4-1 in a West Bay Athletic League last Tuesday in Portola Valley.
The Knights came out ready. Sophomore left wing Kyra Pretre kicked off the scoring with an unassisted strike early on. Right after that, the freshmen stepped up with a goal from Gabby Kogler on an assist from Corinne Pak. After the first half, the Knights were sitting with a comfortable 2-0 lead.
In the second half, the seniors starred. Senior Julia Wang scored on an assist by senior Hunter MacDonald. After dropping a dime, MacDonald went out and scored a goal for herself as well.
Menlo’s next game is against Notre Dame-Belmont at 2:45 pm Friday, February 2.
