Girls Basketball Defeats Woodside Priory on Senior Night

Many students saw the multitude of posters around campus advertising the girls basketball senior night on Tuesday, Feb. 12, honoring the one senior on the team: Sun-Mi Oh.

The varsity girls basketball team won against Woodside Priory. The team had a slow start, ending the first half with a score of 29-30. In the third quarter though, the team came out strong with new momentum, scoring 25 points. Though the team slowed down a little in the fourth quarter, the girls came out on top with a final score of 53-49.

Sophomore Avery Lee was the highest scorer of the game with 19 points. Three other Knights also scored in the double digits, with junior Maeia Makoni and freshman Sharon Nejad each scoring 11 points and sophomore Coco Layton scoring 10 more points.

The girls are set to play in the quarter finals of the Central Coast Section tournament on Friday, Feb. 15 against Saint Ignatius at Gunn High School.
