Ghaith al-Omari and Dennis Ross, former peace negotiators in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, spoke to the Menlo Upper School in an assembly on Tuesday.
Ross and al-Omari discussed the history of the conflict, America’s sentiment toward the current war and answered questions from the audience.
Sonia Dholakia and Geoffrey Franc, the co-editors in chief of The Coat of Arms, moderated the discussion.
Ross is a former American diplomat and peace negotiator who served in key foreign policy roles in the first Bush, Clinton and Obama administrations. al-Omari, a former advisor to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, was also a peace negotiator. Both are fellows at The Washington Institute.
