Menlo’s varsity boys soccer team beat Sacred Heart Prep 1-0 at home on Wednesday, Jan. 22. The win came in spite of Menlo missing eight players including four starters due to illness. It was an even match and the teams traded chances, but in the final minutes, the score remained 0-0. With the game looking to end in a draw, senior Gabriel Gil stole a game-winner assisted by junior Adrian Collantes. The win improved Menlo’s record to 8-2-2 with a 6-0 record in league.
