The Upper School gathered in the gym on Tuesday, Oct. 7, for the first House competition of the 2025-2026 school year. The House system consists of the four houses that all Upper School students are sorted into: Halverson, Warren, Lapolla and Douglass. Students are sorted based on their advocacies and mixed with students of all grades, allowing students from different grades to work together in competitions against other houses. Each house competes in a series of games to earn the highest total points over the course of the school year.
Students competed in four different competitions: puzzle-solving, typing challenges, drawing and double-dutch jump rope. Points were awarded for sportsmanship and spirit in addition to winning competitions. Lapolla took the overall lead in points for the assembly, with Douglass coming second, Halverson third and Warren in fourth.
