Just as it has for many years now, Muscle Monday kicked off Spirit Week on a very high note and generated much excitement among the student body for what the rest of the week has in store. Students showed up to school decked out in all sorts of athletic gear and participated in activities such as push-up contests, arm-wrestling matches, and the annual junior vs. senior girl powder puff football game.

When lunchtime arrived, the junior and senior girls battled it out on Wunderlich field in the annual powder puff game. Although neither of the teams had much practice, both were able to complete some great plays, and the game ended in a 14-14 tie. Seniors George Tamer and Wells Costello also provided commentating for the game which kept the fans interested between plays.

There was some fierce competition and aggression on the field. Multiple penalties were called throughout the course of the game by the temporary referee Charles Wetherell. Here, senior Daria Sprague runs with the ball and junior Hunter Siebel reaches to pull her flag.

During half-time of the game, each grade participated in a tug-of-war. The first match-up was between the seniors and freshman, with the seniors coming out on top. In an unexpected turn of events, the sophomore class beat the juniors, but then was defeated in the final match by the seniors.
